How we move governs how we function. Poor movement equates to stiffness and increased risk of injury. Perfect movement minimizes breakdown and promotes longevity. A movement evaluation can show your weaknesses and get you moving healthier.
Why You Need A Movement Evaluation?
Poor posture and movement patterns create imbalances throughout the body causing aches and pains. Areas that require mobility become stiff, forcing other areas to move irregularly. For example, when the middle back becomes stiff or tight, the neck compensates by moving excessively. The result is often neck pain. Over time these compensatory patterns cause micro-trauma and lead to early breakdown. A movement evaluation will identify areas of weakness that can be fixed with corrective exercises.
Benefits of the Movement Evaluation?
A licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) will spend 40 minutes analyzing all 7 movements. Following analysis, the DPT will show you areas that are moving improperly and give you corrective exercises to address each dysfunction.
